When the world uses the seed “Drunk world”, the Party Girl replaces the Guide as the default NPC. ![]() The Party Girl has a 1/40 chance to spawn when there is fourteen NPCs in the players world. The Mechanic is found in the dungeon after the player defeats Skeletron. The Mechanic sells wrenches, wires, and mechanical blocks and items. The Clothier moves in after the player defeats Skeletron. The Witch Doctor moves in after the player defeats the Queen Bee. The Witch Doctor sells the Imbuing station, summoner equipment, and leaf wings (hardmode). The Goblin Tinkerer can be found in the cavern layer underground after the player defeats the Goblin Army. The Goblin Tinkerer sells various items and reforges the players weapons and accessories with modifiers. The Stylist can be found in spider biomes. The Stylist sells hair dyes and can change the players hair style. The Tavernkeep can be found after the player defeats the Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, or Eater of Worlds. The Tavernkeep sells weapons and items to summon the Old One’s Army. The Arms Dealer moves in after the player acquires a gun or bullets. The Arms Dealer sells guns, bullets, and arrows. The Golfer is found in the underground desert. He moves in when there is eight other NPCs living in the players world. The Painter sells paint, painting tools, and paintings. She moves in when the player defeats the Eye of Cthulhu, Brain of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, or Skeletron. The Dryad nature and world impurity items and reports what percentage of the world is Corruption, Crimson, or Hallow. The Zoologist moves in when the player has completed 10% of the bestiary, which is 53 entries. The Zoologist sells mounts, vanity, and pet items. The Angler will move in after being found in the ocean biome on either side of the world. The Angler gives fishing quests for the player to complete and rewards them for completing them. ![]() The Dye Trader moves in when the player has any dye item, or any dye crafting item. The Dye Trader sells the dye vat, which is used to craft dyes, and gives the player rare dyes in exchange for Strange Plants. When the world uses the seed, “For the worthy”, the Demolitionist will replace the Guide as the default NPC. The Demolitionist moves in once the Merchant moves in, and the player has explosives in their inventory. The Demolitionist sells explosives to the player. She will move in once the Merchant has moved in, and the player reaches 100 health. The Nurse heals the player in exchange for money. When a world uses the seed, “Not the bees”, the Merchant will replace the Guide as the default NPC. He will move in once the player(s) obtain 50 silver coins. The Merchant sells basic tools and supplies. He also provides information on crafting recipes. The Guide provides information for newer players on what to do on their first day in Terraria. The Guide is the first NPC you meet and automatically spawns when a new world is created.
